what we do

 

HabiJohn Foundation (HF) non-profit organization helps older people and the vulnerable children under their care claim their rights, challenge discrimination and overcome poverty as well as facilitate their access to primary healthcare, so that they can lead dignified, secure, active and healthy lives. This project will enable the aging to acquire their rights and access to services through advocacy, transparency and accountability from the local leaders.

  • Helping the vulnerable home have access to better hygiene.
  • Supporting district local governments to establish an ageing aware plan and later an ageing ordinancy.
  • The project enables the aging meet with the stakeholders through dialogues.
  • Through electronic and print media HabiJohn Foundation reaches a vast number of the ageing population and civic educate them about the services they deserve from government.
  • HabiJohn foundation reaches the ageing population by hosting radio talk shows.
  • HabiJohn Foundation through consultative meetings with district stake holders helps the aging to have a voice in departmental budget allocations in support to the aging.
  • Habijohn foundation supports the aging to participate in planning and benefit from decision making processes.
  • HabiJohn Foundation will hold meetings with district departmental heads of staff to draw an aging awareness plan.
